The Business of “YOU”

  • Manage your time. It is difficult to sell and deliver services simultaneously. Busy work flows tend to occur in unison with high demand for services.  Prioritize your tasks according to importance, deadlines and urgency.
  • Be professional. Remember that you are your business. Approach client relationships with your core values in mind. The Ritz Carlton has a simple core value that is shared by all employees: “Ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentlemen.” Whatever your core values are, they must be carried throughout each interaction you have with a client. Align performance to quality criteria so that your clients know that with each project assignment, they can expect the same level of service from you.

To build your own business requires diligence, patience, marketing, and a business mind-set. If followed correctly, you can be successful.
